Why is that Email Address so Important?
Each processed draft, whether approved or declined, will generate an email to the client with information regarding that specific transaction. Within the email, the client is asked to contact Piedmont Payment Services or their agent with questions or account updates. Not only does this provide the client with necessary information, but it also reduces, or in some cases, eliminates the need for follow-up by the agent. For this reason, we encourage agents to require an email address on every Electronic Funds Transfer form collected.
In addition, we currently use email addresses to contact policyholders when their account information is near expiration. This correspondence between Piedmont and the policyholder, again, eliminates the agent as the middle man and allows quick responses and updates.
