Piedmont Payment Services, LLC was founded in 2008 as a response to a need. An agent for a top voluntary health insurance company had a client who was bought out. The new company ownership would no longer offer payroll deduction for the 50 employees who had been paying for their insurance that way. Therefore, the agent was losing a group and — without the convenience of payroll deduction — feared he would lose many of his policyholders.
Our founder, Tim Johnson, was able to provide a solution and the agent was so happy that he told his friends. One thing led to another, and Piedmont Payment Services was born. We were literally created for one specific need, and we think that’s why we’re so flexible & responsive today.
Today Piedmont is continuing it’s history of pioneering new ways to pay.
